Akaash Singh is stepping away from the Flagrant podcast after spending nearly a decade building the show with Andrew Schulz. Schulz shared the news during the May 6, 2026, episode of the podcast and said the decision came after Singh chose to focus fully on his stand-up comedy career. The announcement surprised many longtime listeners because the two comedians helped grow the podcast together from its early Flagrant 2 days into one of the most popular comedy shows online.Andrew Schulz explained that the decision was emotional for both of them. He said Akaash Singh had been going through a major period in his life and career this year, especially after selling out Radio City Music Hall and performing in packed venues across North America. Schulz said Singh felt it was the right moment to put all his energy into comedy touring and live performances.During the episode, Andrew Schulz said:“Our boy, Akaash, he really went through it earlier this year. Showed amazing resilience. Selling out Radio City recently, setting records in Toronto, crushing standup around the globe, and literally living the dream. The experience has put things in perspective for him. And he has made the decision to focus all of his energy on standup.”Schulz also admitted the moment was difficult for the podcast team because Singh did not truly want to leave the show. Still, he supported his longtime friend’s decision.“He is going to be stepping away from the pod. It is bittersweet. He did not want to do that. But at the same time, it’s very hard not to root for your friend literally living his dreams, and if he feels like he’s got to give everything for that, then that’s what he’s got to do,” Schulz added.

Andrew Schulz recalls viral Akaash Singh podcast moment as comedian continues successful Generational Triumph tour

While talking about Akaash Singh’s exit, Andrew Schulz also looked back at one of the podcast’s most talked-about viral moments. The discussion happened during a debate about effort in relationships. Schulz had questioned what people meant when they said they valued “effort” from a partner.Akaash Singh then challenged him by asking whether he would value a homemade meal more than ordered food. Schulz first tried to say both were the same, but he almost admitted cooking showed more effort before stopping himself. Singh immediately celebrated the moment jokingly, and the clip quickly spread online.Away from the podcast, Akaash Singh’s comedy career has continued growing. His “Generational Triumph” tour began in Boston on January 23, 2026, and has included shows in Seattle, Houston, Austin, Toronto, Los Angeles, Vancouver and several other cities. One of the biggest moments of the tour came on April 18 when Singh performed at Radio City Music Hall in New York. Two days later, Singh posted an emotional message on Instagram about selling out the famous venue. He spoke openly about reaching success without major industry backing and thanked fans for supporting him throughout his journey. Akaash Singh’s next performance is scheduled for May 8 at Parx Casino-Xcite Center in Bensalem, near Philadelphia. Other upcoming stops include Washington, Charlotte, Charleston and Atlanta.
