April 21 (Reuters) – Tesla vehicle registrations in California dropped 24.3% in the first quarter, according to a report released Tuesday by the California New Car Dealers Association, marking the steepest decline in the state.
The drop comes as California’s broader electric vehicle market continues to shrink, highlighting a loss of momentum for the sector in its most critical U.S. region.
Overall zero-emission vehicle sales in the state dropped during the quarter, falling to 57,111 from 95,520 a year earlier, the report said.
