HUBBALLI: A stone-pelting incident was reported during a Chhatrapati Shivaji Jayanti procession in Karnataka‘s Bagalkot, police said on Friday.Bagalkot superintendent of police Siddharth Goyal said stones were thrown during the procession and also at the police personnel deployed at the spot.However, he confirmed that no injuries were reported in the incident.“Stone pelting took place during the procession. Stones were also hurled towards us. But no one was injured. We will arrest the culprits and take strict action,” SP Goyal said.The police department is on high alert. Police have assured that those responsible will be identified and action will be taken against them.Further details are awaited.(This is a developing story)
