Shubhangi Atre, best known for playing Angoori Bhabhi in Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain, recently had a disturbing experience when a fan entered her residential society and reached her doorstep without permission. The fan brought a hamper and prasad, saying he wished her good health and peace, but the incident left the actress shaken.Recalling the incident, Shubhangi says, “I was completely shocked when I realised that someone had entered my society and reached my gate without permission. It was very scary for me.”
While she values the love and affection she receives from fans, the actress stresses that such actions cross a line. “I truly appreciate the love and blessings people give me. It means a lot. But entering someone’s home like this is not right. There have to be boundaries,” she says.Shubhangi shares that the fan repeatedly told her he had come only to bless her and wish her happiness. “He kept saying that I have been through a lot and that he wanted me to stay healthy and peaceful. I understand emotions, but safety and privacy cannot be compromised,” she adds.Calling the experience unsettling, she says, “For a few moments, I didn’t know how to react. My safety and my family’s safety come first. It was honestly very frightening.”She also points out that actors deserve personal space. “We may work in front of the camera, but our homes are private spaces. That needs to be respected,” she explains.Shubhangi hopes the incident serves as a reminder. “Love from fans is precious, but it should always be respectful and safe,” she says.On the work front, Shubhangi, who has been part of shows like Kasautii Zindagii Kay, Kasturi, Chidiya Ghar and Adhuri Kahaani Hamari, will next be seen in Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain – Fun on the Run, the film adaptation of the popular sitcom.
