RJ Mahvash breaks silence on Yuzvendra Chahal relationship rumours after unfollow drama

RJ Mahvash and Yuzvendra Chahal

RJ Mahvash has finally responded to the growing social media buzz around her relationship with Indian spinner Yuzvendra Chahal, after fans noticed that the two had unfollowed each other on Instagram.Speaking about the speculation, the actor and content creator clarified that the online reaction was overblown and stemmed from a very minor disagreement. She insisted that such digital unfollows or temporary distancing are common even among close friends and should not be read too deeply. Mahvash said people often exaggerate normal friendship dynamics online. According to her, small misunderstandings do not change the foundation of real bonds. “People have a habit of making a fuss over small things. It is not such a big deal when you go through it,” she said during a conversation with Pinkvilla. She also referred to Chahal’s earlier openness about his mental health struggles, saying she felt a sense of responsibility to stand by him during difficult phases.“Like he also mentioned in his podcast that he had suicidal thoughts and all of that. During that time, we all tried to help in every possible way so that he could just get through the season well. Everyone supported him together, openly and quietly, because he was going through a lot,” Mahvash said.Mahvash added that her actions were guided purely by loyalty and friendship rather than anything else. “For me, it was simply about standing by my friends whenever they need me,” she said. She also made it clear that she would continue to support the leg-spinner and maintain normal communication going forward, stressing that friendships should not be judged through social media optics.Meanwhile, Yuzvendra Chahal continues his IPL 2026 campaign with Punjab Kings. He has taken 10 wickets in 13 matches this season at an economy rate of 8.73. Overall, he remains the highest wicket-taker in IPL history with 231 wickets, underlining his long-standing impact in the tournament. He last played for India in August 2023 and was part of the T20 World Cup-winning 2024 squad, though he did not feature in any match.
