The pact with the trade bloc is seen to be the most crucial of the lot that India has finalised, including the one with New Zealand. The Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) with Oman was signed last Dec and was to be ratified by Muscat, but the war, which has also seen Iran attack its neighbour on other side of the Gulf may delay the treaty benefits from kicking in at the start April.
