In the 2013 playoffs, Hilton helped the Colts complete a remarkable Wild Card round comeback win over the Kansas City Chiefs with 224 receiving yards, punctuated by his go-ahead 64-yard touchdown snag with 4:21 remaining in the fourth quarter. Hilton’s 224 yards are third in NFL history for a single playoff game; the Colts’ 28-point comeback remains the second-greatest deficit to be overcome in NFL playoff history.
The Colts selected Hilton in the third round (No. 92 overall) of the 2012 NFL Draft, believing the dynamic playmaking ability he showed at Florida International would translate to the NFL. Over four seasons at FIU, Hilton caught 229 passes for 3,531 yards and scored 37 total touchdowns (24 receiving, seven rushing, six returning). Hilton in 2025 became the first football player inducted into the FIU Athletics Hall of Fame.
