According to reports from Radar Online, Hamilton’s mother, Carmen Larbalestier, is said to be skeptical of the romance and has encouraged her son to slow things down. The outlet claims Hamilton even skipped attending Vanity Fair Oscar Party with Kardashian last month because he was traveling in China with his mom.
“Lewis is incredibly close to his mom. Her opinion carries a lot of weight with him, so this is definitely something that should worry Kim,” an insider alleged.
The source went on to claim that Larbalestier is very protective and has strong opinions about her son’s future. “She’s at a stage in life where she really wants grandkids, so she looks at anyone he dates through that lens,” the insider said, adding that she may not see the Kardashian lifestyle as the best long-term fit for him.
Still, the report notes that while she may have concerns, she isn’t said to be directly telling him what to do. Hamilton has previously referred to his mother as the “first love of his life,” highlighting just how influential her perspective is.
