CUET PG 2026 counselling: The counselling process for CUET PG 2026 has been initiated following the announcement of the result by the National Testing Agency on 24th April 2026, thereby initiating the next step of counselling for around 5 lakh aspirants applying for admission into post-graduate courses.But despite the declaration of the result, several candidates have failed to download their scorecards since the NTA website has not yet stabilized its log-in system and hence candidates are waiting patiently until the site stabilizes.University-wise counselling registration procedureEach candidate should register himself/herself at the website of his/her desired university separately as the entire admission procedure in CUET PG 2026 will be done individually by universities instead of the central authority that is NTA.Candidates should upload various documents like academic certificates and identity proof along with other documents specified by universities for merit-making purposes.On completion of the process of verification, merit lists will be prepared by universities and called for further rounds of admission.Counselling timeline and persistent portal problemsMany students have complained about problems with the NTA scorecard login portal, which makes accessing the download option difficult even after the results have been declared.However, universities have already started making counselling announcements, with each university setting up their own timeline for admission registration and counselling rounds.Steps after Counselling RegistrationIt is advised that all students prepare themselves with all necessary documents such as transcripts and proof of identity to facilitate the counselling process during verification at university level.Universities will publish separate counselling guidelines for the counselling process, and it is advised that students visit the admission portal regularly for information.Admission process at participating universitiesAdmissions into CUET PG 2026 courses will be conducted in 198 universities that include central universities, state universities, government universities, and private universities.The candidates are suggested to visit the university website regularly for details about counselling schedule, merit list, and document verification as the role of the NTA is confined to conduct the exam and declare the result.As the process of counselling is currently being conducted, the students are concentrating on the university level registration procedure since the students are facing difficulties getting access to CUET PG 2026 scorecards due to portal problems at NTA website. The merit-based counselling process will continue soon while the final process will be document verification and seat allotment after which the admissions will be completed through CUET PG 2026.
