Rajeev Chandrasekhar, the BJP candidate for Nemom, has declared the highest total assets among candidates at Rs 93.88 crore. His spouse holds more movable assets. Asset declarations were mandatory for nomination filing. Ministers K B Ganesh Kumar and P Prasad also declared their assets. Immovable assets are valued at current market rates.
BJP’s Nemom candidate Rajeev Chandrasekhar has topped total declared assets with Rs 93.88cr -movable at Rs 78.81cr and immovable at Rs 15cr. Spouses of majority of candidates have more movable assets.
Asset declaration was mandatory along with nomination filing, the deadline of which fell on Monday. Candidates’ immovable assets have been valued based on properties’ current market value.
Among the ministers in fray, K B Ganesh Kumar (Pathanapuram) has total assets worth Rs 6.37cr. P Prasad (Cherthala) has only Rs 9.49L.
