Emphasising that “if you last 40 years,” Kevin Jonas Sr. added, “You’ve gone through so many changes, lived through so much together, the ups and the downs, the celebrations and the pains, and yet you can look at each other and still just be amazed.”
Revealing his key to a lasting marriage, the singer-actor said, “Accepting each other for who we are and yet still trying to encourage each other to be better,” he noted. “I think that acceptance really helps so that you’re appreciating the seasons of life,” the famed artist continued.For those who don’t know, Kevin Jonas Sr. and Denise have been married since they were 18.
Kevin Jonas Sr. was nervous to play the song for his sons
The musical artist was nervous about playing the song for his toughest music critics: his sons. “Their reaction was amazing… ‘Wow, that’s a great song, that’s a great wedding song’,” he recalled. “I find their input so validating because even though I’m their dad and I was a part of their career, especially early on,” he mentioned. Papa Jonas feels the Jonas Brothers’ encouragement of him is like the roles have “reversed,” and that makes him feel like a “little kid.” Alongside making new music, Kevin Jonas Sr. is spending quality time with his 5 granddaughters, which is nothing less than pure bliss for him.
