Unfortunately for the Sixers, they’ll still be missing their former NBA MVP.
Joel Embiid ruled out vs. Nets due to right oblique strain
Joel Embiid has been ruled out of the game against Brooklyn due to a right oblique strain.
It will be the eighth consecutive game missed by Embiid, whose last game action came against the Miami Heat on Feb. 26. At this point, it remains to be seen when he might be able to return to the court for Philadelphia.
On the season, Embiid has appeared in just 33 games for Philadelphia and posted averages of 26.6 points, 7.5 rebounds, 3.9 assists and 1.1 blocks per performance.

In addition to Embiid, the Sixers will also be without Tyrese Maxey (right finger tendon injury), Andre Drummond (back spasms), Paul George (suspension) and Kelly Oubre Jr. (left elbow sprain) against Brooklyn.
So, saying the Sixers will be shorthanded for the game would be an understatement.
