Guwahati: At least four persons were killed and 10 others injured after a passenger bus lost control and rammed into a roadside tree in Assam’s Karbi Anglong district early on Saturday morningPolice said the accident occurred at Lakkhijan under Bokajan police station limits when the bus, travelling from Moirabari in Morigaon district to Dimapur in Nagaland, failed to negotiate a bend.“The bus apparently lost control when it was trying to cross a bend and hit a roadside tree. Four passengers lost their lives on the spot, including the driver,” an official said.Police rushed to the site and sent the bodies for autopsy. The deceased have been identified as Abdul Barek, Khalil Rahman, Chabina Sultana and Alal Uddin.Ten others, including a child, sustained injuries in the crash and were taken to a hospital in Dimapur.
