The Class 12 board examinations conducted by the Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad are in full swing, with two major papers — Mathematics and Biology — concluding today. The exams were held in the afternoon shift (2:00 PM to 5:15 PM) in offline mode and were conducted smoothly across centres in the state. Here is a brief analysis of both papers, along with direct links to download the question paper PDFs provided in this article.Maths Paper 2026: Moderate with a Time ChallengeThe Mathematics exam, held on 23 February 2026, was generally rated moderate in difficulty, though many students felt it was slightly lengthy.Initial feedback suggests that the MCQ and 1-mark questions were straightforward and scoring. However, the 5-mark and 8-mark sections required detailed calculations, making time management crucial. Several students reported that they were able to attempt most questions but had to work quickly towards the end.Sharing his experience, Robin Kumar, a student from Shri Shanti Swaroop Krishi Inter College, Hapur, said, “The paper was easy and well-balanced. I was able to attempt all the questions and I am expecting good marks in this paper.”The paper largely followed the expected pattern, with strong weightage given to Calculus, Matrices, Vectors, and Probability. Students also appreciated that the question paper was provided in both Hindi and English, and the language was clear and easy to understand.Biology Paper 2026: Mixed Feedback from StudentsThe Biology paper drew mixed reactions. While many candidates found it easy to moderate and largely based on NCERT concepts, some students felt it was tougher than expected.Sharing his experience, Rihan Malik, a Biology student from Shri Shanti Swaroop Krishi Inter College, Hapur, who appeared at Chaudhary Tarachand Janta Inter College, Hapur, said, “The paper was not as easy as anticipated, and the examination was not conducted as instructed by our teachers.”Overall, questions from Genetics, Biotechnology and Ecology carried significant weightage, with diagram-based and short-answer questions forming an important part of the paper.Exam Pattern at a GlanceThe Class 12 Maths paper carried 100 marks and included:• Very short answer/objective questions – 10 marks• Short answer questions – 16 marks• Long answer questions – 50 marks• Very long answer questions (with internal choice) – 24 marksThere was no negative marking, and the question types ranged from MCQs to detailed analytical problems.NOTE: Students who appeared for the exam are invited to share their reactions and feedback on the question paper and contribute as readers’ opinions. Selected student responses will be included within this analytical article.
