Elon Musk has once again called Bill Gates a ‘liar’. This time he was responding to an X user’s post which said that anyone believing “USAID cuts led to deaths,” is too stupid, referring to the Microsoft founder’s previous remarks when he raised alarms on United States Agency for International Development (USAID) funding. “Anyone believing those “USAID cuts led to deaths,” stories is too stupid to function. Although the obvious question, if it were true: Why didn’t left wing billionaires fill the shortfall? Why is it the moral duty of working Americans to fund Africa’s population growth?,” the X user wrote in the post. Musk replied to the post calling the narrative “completely false”. He said: “Bill Gates is pushing this lie, despite having over $80 billion dollars in his NGO that he could easily spend to save these alleged lives that are being lost.”
“Why doesn’t he?,” he asked, adding “Bill Gates is a liar. Always has been.”

Earlier this year in May, Gates criticized Elon Musk for killing the poor children by cutting down foreign aid funding that could lead to an increase in the cases of measles, HIV, and polio and more. In an interview with the Financial Times, Gates said “The picture of the world’s richest man killing the world’s poorest children is not a pretty one”.Musk was then leading the department of government efficiency (DOGE) – Trump’s administration task force aimed to cut down federal expenditure. In February, the agency effectively shut down USAID, calling it “a criminal organisation” and stating it was “time for it to die”.In the FT interview, Bill Gates also alleged that the tech billionaire has cancelled grants to hospital in Gaza Province Mozambique, which prevented transmission of HIV. “I’d love for him to go in and meet the children that have now been infected with HIV because he cut that money,” said Gates.Replying to one such online clip of Gates from the interview, Musk then wrote on X “Gates is a huge liar”. In another post, the world’s richest billionaire wrote “The real reason Bill Gates is unhappy is that HIS organisation isn’t getting billions in US taxpayer money anymore.”
